Overview
Our client, a global hospitality company, is seeking a Senior Martech Business Analyst to support a complex, cross-functional CRM and marketing technology ecosystem. This individual will operate at the center of multiple workstreams, translating business needs into clearly defined requirements and ensuring work is routed, scoped, and delivered across a multi-pod Martech organization.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong facilitation skills, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to bridge business and technical teams across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Work Intake & Scoping
- Receive and interpret incoming work from cross-functional CRM project workstreams
- Assess impact across Martech portfolio and determine appropriate pod ownership (e.g., CDP, CMS, CRM orchestration)
- Ensure all work is properly scoped, documented, and prioritized within the correct product backlog
Discovery & Facilitation
- Participate in and facilitate discovery workshops and cross-functional meetings
- Guide stakeholders toward scalable Martech solutions aligned with platform capabilities
- Operate independently within ambiguous problem spaces to define clear paths forward
Story Writing & Backlog Management
- Partner with pod teams (Product Managers, Engineers, Designers) to write and refine user stories in Jira
- Ensure requirements are clear, actionable, and outcomes are well-defined prior to handoff
- Support backlog refinement and maintain clarity through light participation in agile rituals
Cross-Portfolio Communication
- Translate requirements and solutions across multiple Martech domains, including:
- Customer Data Platform (CDP)
- CRM orchestration
- CMS and personalization layers
- Communicate effectively across leadership, stakeholders, and delivery teams
- Serve as a connector across multiple product areas rather than a single-product contributor
Martech Ecosystem
- CRM & Orchestration: Braze (email and omnichannel marketing)
- Customer Data Platform: Amperity (guest profile unification)
- Content & Personalization: Internal CMS platform with personalization capabilities
Tools & Environment
- Jira & Confluence (backlog management and documentation)
- Miro (workshops and collaboration)
- Microsoft Teams (communication)
Team Structure
- Supports 5 cross-functional pods within the Martech portfolio
- Each pod includes Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers
- No direct ownership of engineering delivery or testing
- Primary focus on intake, documentation, facilitation, and handoff
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting Martech, CRM, CDP, or digital platforms
- Strong ability to gather, document, and translate business and technical requirements
- Experience working in Agile environments with backlog management and story writing
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Braze, Amperity, or similar Martech tools
- Understanding of customer data flows, segmentation, and campaign orchestration
- Experience in hospitality, travel, or customer experience-driven industries
