As the Data Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Data Warehouse team with a strong focus on managing business relationships, initiatives, and working with the team to deliver top-notch deliverables, while also being able to roll up your sleeves and jump in to support the team technically.

Additional Day-to-Day responsibilities:

  • Advise on the utilization and capabilities of data warehouse systems to ensure optimal information delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various business sectors to assess needs, explore solutions, and prioritize projects.
  • Create and implement standards and procedures for data warehousing, analytics, and ETL/ELT systems.
  • Direct the data warehouse team’s efforts in creating, developing, and deploying data warehouses.
  • Oversee both tactical and strategic plans involving the setup, integration, upkeep, support, security, and performance of data warehouse systems and initiatives.
  • Supervise the creation and ongoing improvement of ETL processes for effective data integration from diverse sources into the data warehouse.
  • Ensure that data flows are designed for scalability, efficiency, and reliability, and that data models align with business needs.
  • Monitor and communicate project timelines, milestones, and updates to senior business leaders.
  • Conduct code reviews.
  • Mentor and facilitate growth from the data warehouse team.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the data engineering/development/analysis field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading/managing teams.
  • Proficiency in Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and other Azure storage solutions.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including data modeling, ETL processes, and OLAP.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with programming languages like Python or Scala that are commonly used in data processing.
  • Experience with data management and visualization tools such as Power BI, SSIS, or Tableau.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture principles, security practices, and cost management in the Azure environment.
  • Ability to align data strategies with business objectives and to plan for future scaling and integration needs.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with other managers, IT staff, and non-technical stakeholders.
