AI Consultant / AI Strategy & Assessment Lead

  Contract - $85 - $125/hr

We are seeking an AI Consultant to partner with business and technology leaders to assess current environments, identify opportunities for AI adoption, and provide clear, actionable recommendations aligned to organizational goals.

This role is focused on evaluation, strategy, and practical implementation planning—helping organizations understand where AI can (and cannot) deliver value.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of current technology environments, data infrastructure, and workflows
•  Identify and prioritize AI use cases aligned to business objectives (efficiency, automation, revenue, 
• Develop roadmaps outlining phased AI adoption (quick wins vs long-term initiatives)
• Advise on build vs. buy decisions, including tools, platforms, and vendor solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, data, and business teams to align on priorities
•  Support proof-of-concept initiatives and guide early-stage implementation where needed
• Educate teams on AI capabilities, limitations, and best practices etc.)
• Evaluate data readiness, including data quality, accessibility, and governance considerations
• Provide clear recommendations on where AI can realistically be implemented and expected impact
• Lead and participate in webinars, workshops, and client-facing discussions focused on AI trends, use cases, and practical applications
• Facilitate topic-driven conversations with leadership teams to help shape AI strategy and thinking

Qualifications

• Experience in AI, data, or digital transformation consulting
• Strong understanding of:  AI/ML concepts (including generative AI), Data architecture and data governance, Enterprise systems and workflows
• Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business value
• Experience conducting technology or operational assessments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Background in consulting, advisory, or solution architecture preferred
• Up to 20% Travel may be required

Preferred Experience

• Experience with AI implementation or strategy in enterprise environments
• Familiarity with tools such as:
  • LLM platforms (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.)
  • Data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
• Exposure to mid-market organizations
