One of the world’s largest manufacturing companies, a provider of consumer and commercial products with offices located internationally, is searching for an IT Support Engineer to join them immediately!
With a pandemic-proof product offering and over 10B in sales, this growing company is expanding their team in Chicago and in need of another hands-on Desktop Support Engineer! This is an opportunity to join a high-volume environment, leveraging all resources to support client and network services.
We are looking for a real expert in Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite, and End User Technical Troubleshooting. The candidate must be comfortable taking on small projects and have a vested interest in contributing to continual process improvement. Required Skills & Experience:
- Must have experience providing IT support to executive leadership and high level staff (hardware and software)
- Office 365 administration (including OneDrive)
- Active Directory experience (adding, removing, managing permissions, group policy, etc.)
- Laptop/Desktop reimaging and installation (hardware and software)
- MS Teams experience required
- Experience with on-prem and cloud server support, troubleshooting, maintenance
- Outlook/Exchange support experience
- Network support and troubleshooting experience
- Familiar with networking concepts (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, Ethernet)
- Automation and scripting experience with Powershell or Python is highly valued!
- An ideal candidate will have experience working within a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional support experience
- Certifications highly valued
- Experience with ServiceNow for ticketing, documentation, change management, etc.
- RF Scanner support and set-up experience
- Zebra Printer support and set up is a huge plus!
- Ability to communicate professionally with executive level staff
