About the Company

Our client company is one of the most famous manufacturers of outdoor equipment, and a well-known brand dating back over 40 years. With locations around the world, and several major projects underway, they are growing their internal IT team at record-breaking speed. With the recent release of several new and groundbreaking products, they are in the middle of a digital transformation with countless long-term projects underway and set to kick off in 2024.

They are searching for a full-time Sr. Data and Reporting Lead to join them right away as this company is looking to move their most important technical resources in-house after having been contracted out to 3^rd party partners. This Sr. Data and Reporting Lead will spearhead the development and design of an enterprise data warehouse platform, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to drive the organization’s continuous growth.

This is a highly visible, direct hire role that the business cannot do without. The right person for this role will be highly experienced in driving the design, development and maintenance of cloud data warehouses and reporting efforts, while working in a collaborative setting. You must have the ability to travel to their Arlington Heights office 3 days per week to work closely with business stakeholders.

Position Summary

• Be hands-on in the design and development of cloud data warehousing initiatives.
• Work closely with integration teams to design and optimize data integrations from multiple data sources.
• Build logic for the movement of data out of SAP and into Snowflake
• Optimize data infrastructure, pipelines, and processing workflows for system performance.
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate technical specifications.
• Validate and build tabular reports for business use.
• Perform quality checks and find root-cause of problems and issue resolutions.
• Design, develop and maintain data models and schemas for reporting requirements.
• Work with the business to make recommendations based on business and technical needs.

Minimum Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience working within the data field.
• 4+ years’ experience working on Snowflake data warehouse projects,6+ years’ experience of in SQL and ETL pipeline development. Experience with SAP ERP modules (i.e. OTC, Master Data, Warehouse Management, Transportation, or Finance)
•  Familiarity with AWS Glue, Python, or PySpark a plus!
• Experience developing tabular reports within PowerBI or Tableau
• Must have used SAP ERP as a data source!
