Our client is a privately held capital management firm with a presence in Chicago, NYC, LA and their main office being in Fort Lauderdale. They are a boutique firm that puts a focus on establishing long-term relationships and offering unique financing solutions that fit the individual needs of their clients. They are looking to add an IT Administrator to the team to oversee data management.
As the database administrator, you will support and manage the client’s data systems including Salesforce. Your core responsibilities are to oversee all salesforce inquires and ensure the applications are able to meet the team’s needs. This is an interesting role in the sense that you will be the sole IT representative onsite for the company and there is an opportunity to take on more responsibility as you grow within the position. Eventually, you may even become an IT Manager!
Responsibilities
- Daily administration and support of Salesforce database including user set up, profiles, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validations, dashboards and processes
- Ensure data is accurate and accessible across all systems
- Leverage Salesforce to automate reporting infrastructure
- Maintain deal database and deal logs
- Work closely with investment team to create and manage complex workflow rules, data validation and triggers
- Develop and create customized reports and dashboards
- Meet with staff to create and establish application requirements and document program enhancements
- Customize business materials (Excel files, Word documents, PowerPoints)
- Remain up to date with current salesforce features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvement
- Train users on how to use database applications and keep the team informed on any updates/changes
- Support various projects, investor relations, and capital raising efforts
Experience
- Degree within related field
- 2+ years Salesforce experience
- Complete understanding of proprietary deal/ transactional databases and data tools
- In-depth experience creating dashboards and customizable reports
- Expert in excel
- Familiar with transaction database
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, HTML, and JavaScript
- Exposure within financial/investment firms
