There’s no definitive answer to this one. You should do some research about the company first. Find out what the work environment is like. You may find out it’s a jeans and flip-flop-type shop. So dress a peg up from that in nice business casual. If you’re interviewing at a traditional and conservative organization, then suit up, please! So how do you find this stuff out? The receptionist. Ask his or her opinion first, and then possibly what executives, engineers or developers typically wear. Like it or not, your interview is where this company will get their first physical impression of who you are. Represent yourself but do so in the best light possible.
